Fort Sill is the home of the U.S. Army, Marines, and Air Defense Artillery Schools. It also has an extensive museum containing several pieces of artillery, including the M-65 “Atomic Annie,” a 280mm cannon capable of firing artillery shells and 15 kiloton tactical nuclear warheads to an approximate range of 20 miles. It could be transported with it’s two 350hp tractors at a speed up to 35mph. The first atomic cannon went into service in 1952, and was deactivated in 1963. Also check out the Fort Sill Stables, Missile Park and Artillery Walk.

Bonus stop: Meers Store is a popular stopping point for motorcyclists from all over Oklahoma. No wonder with it’s mouth-watering menu and “The Best Burger in Oklahoma.”
