This large memorial pays tribute to soldiers who either lost their lives or went missing in action in all wars since the Spanish American War. Several large red granite stones, each dedicated to a different war, lists the names of veterans who came from the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle.

Bonus stops: Cadillac Ranch, west of Amarillo on I-40. Also the Big Texan Steak Ranch, east on I-40, home of the "Free 72 oz. Steak."
