The city of Branson has more to be proud of than world class entertainment. The Veteran's Memorial Museum of Branson honors those who served in all wars of the 20th Century. It won't be hard to find, pull over when you see the World War II fighter on the pylon.* Inside you will find over 2000 exhibits with all visitors starting in the World War I Hall and moving through the century.
The world's largest war memorial bronze sculpture (over 70 feet long, weighing 15 tons) is here, featuring 50 life-size statues storming a beach. The statues were modeled from combat soldiers from each of the 50 states.
Museum hours are listed as 0800-2100 hours, but call to verify: 417-336-2300

*UPDATE: The museum was hit hard by a tornado on February 29. It is still a ToH destination and if the museum is open when you get there, consider dropping in a little something extra for their recovery.
