During World War II, Avenger Field women aviators were trained to ferry aircraft from factories to military bases, fly target towing planes and training bombers to free up male aviators for combat duties. The National WASP WWII Museum seeks to educate and inspire all generations with the story of the WASP: Women Airforce Service Pilots, the first women to fly almost every American military aircraft, the women who changed aviation history!

The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 1pm-5pm. Admission is free and includes an excellent video presentation.
