This beautiful memorial is in Atascadero, CA, halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, a little over 1 mile off Highway 101 (on Highway 41 – aka Morro Road) next to the Atascadero Lake. It shows the true pride of a small town that it has in its local veterans.

It’s also a great place to visit during the summer and just plain beautiful country, with beaches, hills, mountains, lakes and lots of wineries and many good breweries.
