This monument that commemorates those fighting in the Korean Conflict is in a nice Veterans Memorial Park. There is a ceremonial pentagon with benches for reflection. The park also has a lighted 24 hour area with a table and some benches. Like with many Florida parks like this, hours are "until dusk," but no gates are evident. Visit at your own risk after dark.

Also in the area: In 1715, a Spanish galleon fleet full of treasure sank off the coast in a hurricane giving the region the moniker “Treasure Coast.” There are sixteen sites in the county on the National Historic Register.

St. Lucie County is home to 21 miles of uncrowded unspoiled beaches, world record fishing, and a US Navy SEALs Museum, featured in the 2012 Tour of Honor.
