This extraordinary memorial is comprised of a bronze statue of the classic "rifle, boots, and helmet" that is located in the center of a large semi-circle of all six service flags, along with the US, MIA/POW flags and state of Idaho flag.

Beneath the flags are blue placards containing the names of all Custer County veterans from each of the military branches.

Also in the area: Prepare for an awesome ride if you travel to this memorial site using HWY 93 from the north! The roads and scenery from the Bitterroot National Forest and south through North Fork and Salmon along the Lewis and Clark Trail are something to behold!
