The Michigan Vietnam Memorial was officially dedicated as a State Memorial on July 15, 1990. National, state and local dignitaries attended the ceremonies honoring Michigan’s war dead and those still listed as MIA. Surviving family members and veterans were acknowledged.

The memorial was rededicated in September of 1994 with the addition of the moving “War Cry” statue, seen above.
