This memorial honors the men and women of Door County who lost their lives in service to our nation. The pentagon-shaped stone pillar represents the five military branches, and on each side are granite panels that list the names of deceased soldiers who served in various wars. At the top is a bronze eagle with sheltering wings, symbolizing freedom’s vigilant and protective watch.
Also in the area: Door County is a beautiful area for riding. Surrounded by Green Bay and Lake Michigan, Door County has more than 250 miles of shoreline, more than any other county in the U.S. If you take Hwy 42 to the tip of the peninsula, there is an awesome stretch of road that will probably have you begging for more.
Stop by the Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial located at 4758 Mathey Rd.
